How to host wedding bingo
Wedding bingo is a quiet game that runs all evening. Instead of a caller, the reception itself provides the squares, so guests watch the speeches and the dance floor more closely.
- Place one card at every seat. Add a pen or a small pencil to each table. Couples often print cards in the minimal style to match their stationery.
- Fill the list with your own day. Add the name of your first-dance song, a guest who always tells the same story, or the venue’s famous dessert. Personal squares make guests laugh.
- Set a collection point. Guests who complete a line bring their card to a named friend or the DJ, who checks it and hands out a prize.
- Choose prizes for the evening. The first line wins a bottle of wine for the table; a full card earns the centerpiece.
For a bridal shower, play the classic gift version: guests mark items as they are unwrapped. Use the printed list or switch to blank cards and let guests write their predictions first.
Ways to play it
- Bridal shower gift bingo. The baby shower bingo page shows the same gift-opening game; swap in kitchen and home gifts.
- Blank prediction cards. Print blank bingo cards for guests to fill in before the reception starts.
- Kids’ table version. Use a 3×3 grid with simple words like Cake, Dance and Flowers for young guests.
- Anniversary party. Rename the card, swap in milestones from the years together, and play again at the first anniversary.
