How to host virtual bingo

  1. Make your list. Words, numbers 1 to 75, pictures or songs. Change the grid or the title if you like.
  2. Press Create online game. You get a game link and a QR code.
  3. Share it. Paste the link into a chat or email, or show the QR code on screen. Players open it and get their own card.
  4. Call the game. Press Open the number caller and call as usual. Players tap squares on their phones; the BINGO button lights up when their card has the pattern.
  5. Check the winner. The player reads out their card code. Type it into the caller to confirm.

Tips and limits

Questions

Do players need an app or an account?

No. Players open the link in their phone’s browser. There is nothing to install and no sign-up for you or them.

How do I play bingo on Zoom or Teams?

Create the online game, paste the link into the meeting chat, and share your screen with the number caller. Players mark their phone cards as you call and say "Bingo!" with their card code.

Can two phones get the same card?

With one shared link, each phone picks a random card from the set, so two phones can match by chance. For a large group, choose A separate link for each player: up to 200 links, each with a different card.

Can players see which numbers are coming next?

No. The link carries the cards but not the call order. Only the host’s caller knows what comes next.

Does the game data go through your server?

No. The game is packed into the part of the link after the # sign, which browsers do not send to servers. Your lists stay in your browser and are not uploaded to our servers.

Can I mix printed cards and phone cards?

Yes. Tell the invite how many cards you already printed, and phones get cards after those numbers, so no phone matches a printed card.
