Bingo for Seniors: Large Print and Clear Calls

Use large-print cards, clear spoken calls and a pace chosen with the group. Test a printed card in the room before deciding how many to make.

Make the cards easy to read

Choose Large print in the number-card tool. It uses one card per page. Print on plain paper with strong contrast and ask participants whether the result is comfortable to read. Avoid busy backgrounds and markers that hide neighboring numbers.

Let the group set the pace

Begin with manual calls. Repeat a number when requested and keep a visible call history. If using automatic calls, choose a longer interval and pause whenever someone needs time. Do not treat the timer as a target participants must keep up with.

Make participation flexible

Offer a helper, a larger marker or a seat near the caller. Explain the winning pattern using a sample before starting. Allow someone to signal a claim without shouting. These are practical hosting suggestions, not medical claims about benefits of bingo.

Check the setup

Try the speaker and projected board from several seats. Keep spare cards nearby and clear table space for drinks and markers. Ask what worked after the first round and adjust the next one.
